My Journey into Metaphysics

As a kid I always knew things but I was often told it was my imagination, even when what I had said was proven to be right later. I had an “imaginary” friend named Vickie; she was my twin on the other side. I loved rocks, trees and animals and being out in nature. I loved to read and I read anything I could get my hands on; including breakfast cereal boxes    and my grandfather’s trashy novels that he would leave in his bathroom.

When I got older I tried to find out more about psychic things, magic, and things that others couldn’t explain. I went to a Christian school for several of my junior high years where I was taught that interest in these things was considered evil and from the devil. But I didn’t feel that these “gifts” and interest in the supernatural was at all evil.

I searched for information but this was back before the internet was in use by everyday people, there were not many books on the subject of intuition and psychic development that were available to me, one little shop in the Dixie Land Flea Market that had some stuff, what I did find back then didn’t tell me how to do it myself; only how others had come to do it. Their stories were often of finding a mentor, or just knowing from a young age that this is what they would do.

I was studying what I could find over the years and began to find books that helped me understand a little more, but it was the internet that really opened the door for me. There I found books, articles, workshops and classes that spoke to me, and although many still felt that this was “evil”, I had a driving desire to know more about what I later learned was Metaphysics.

In 2003 I became a Reiki Practitioner and a Reiki Master in 2004. This began to open doors for me and showed me that there were other likeminded people, but I still hadn’t found my “tribe”.

In January of 2007 I found a little church in Davison which felt like home when I stepped through the doors. I found people who would share what they knew, validate my gifts, and tell me I wasn’t crazy or evil. It was there that I learned to hone my gifts and eventually give readings for the public at their Psychic Fairs.  I now enjoy teaching Intuitive Development, Reiki, Journaling and Metaphysics.

Freedom

Freedom

What does that mean to you?
Freedom to me means being Who I Really Am, and I am still in the process of discovering that. I believe we are all in the process of discovery for as long as we live on this earth plane. It is constantly in motion as we discover parts of ourselves that were hidden or needed an incubation period before it emerged.
The secret is to dig deep enough to find if you are living your own truth or someone else’s.
Many people spend their lives living as others think they should live.
They may be living the life their parents thinks they should (I know I did for a while). Or they live the way society thinks they should live (yep did that too for a while). Or the way their partners/significant others/spouses think they should live (yep that too).
Stop shoulding on yourself and give yourself permission to discover Who You Are.
In the book Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch, there is a paragraph that, to me, says it best.

“Remember this: There is only one sacred promise-and that is to tell and live your truth. All other promises are forfeitures of freedom, and that can never be sacred. For freedom is Who You Are. If you forfeit freedom, you forfeit your Self. And that is not a sacrament, that is a blasphemy.”

Take a moment (or two) to examine your life. Are you living it in a way that is expressing You? I invite you to live your own life-not someone else’s idea of what it should be.
This is real freedom and independence. Living the life you love.

On Writing a Blog

I have been reading, researching and trying to decide what I want my blog to be about. Really I have been procrastinating.
I have always wanted to be a writer, ever since I was a child and read everything I could get my hands on, including cereal boxes and my grandfather’s trashy novels. I have written and created many newsletters of different types but still didn’t consider myself a writer because I hadn’t been “published” (although I think the internet could be considered being “published” now).
So what was holding me back from actually writing a blog and finding freelance writing work? Fear! False Evidence Appearing Real! The voice from my childhood telling me I could never be a writer, that I wouldn’t amount to anything, and all the other lies that I believed for so very long. And yet I have written many things and although the may not have been “published” in the literary world, I have to step through the fear and begin to put myself out there. So this is the commencement of something I started long ago but was afraid to voice.
I tried digging around to discover what EXACTLY was holding me back and how to fight it. What I discovered was that it didn’t matter what was holding me back; I couldn’t fight it; the only thing I could do was acknowledge the FEAR and walk through it.
This is the walking through it. The acceptance of the fear and the unknown, being OK with being vulnerable at times but finding the courage to step into it anyway. It’s ok if it’s not perfect, or a piece of literary noteworthiness; there is something inside of me that can no longer stay in the shadow of fear that must be birthed.
And so this is the beginning of the birthing process; the contractions have begun and there is no stopping it now!
Blessings!

Hold the Intention

There is unrest all over the world at this time. The people have had enough of being repressed, held down, manipulated and are now beginning to do something about it. This is being seen both individually and globally.
Albert Einstein said “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it”.
So I am asking you to change your mind. I am asking you to hold the intention of peace for all of those involved. We can’t create peace when we fight against something; it is only when we are for something that we can create it. What you resist persists.
Let’s take a different perspective. They (the controller’s or those in power) did not come here to this earth to create injustice, or to repress others; even though it may look that way from where we are. Their Birth or Soul Contracts were to help others and to overcome the tendency to manipulate and control. They have just forgotten what their Birth/Soul Contracts were and why they came here.
I am asking for you to hold those who are in power, in your loving, energetic embrace to promote peace. It is our intentions for the good of all that will change the world, not fighting against the injustice.
When enough of the population holds the energy for peace and balance it will happen, and it can happen very quickly. Have you heard of the “100th Monkey Effect”?
The 100th Monkey
The Japanese monkey, Macaca Fuscata, had been observed in the wild for a period of over 30 years.
In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkey liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant.
A young female found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new way and they taught their mothers too.
This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists. Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable. Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.
Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshima monkeys were washing sweet potatoes — the exact number is not known. Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes. Let’s further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.
THEN IT HAPPENED!
By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!
But notice: A most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea…Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes.

When a critical number achieves awareness, this new awareness may then be communicated from mind to mind through thought energy.
Although the number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a few people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of those people. But there is a point where it only takes one more person to create the tipping point, to change the vibration to critical mass and it is then communicated from mind to mind through thought energy!

Anyone remember how quickly the Berlin wall came down, Or Russia’s changes that took place under Mikhail Gorbachev? Things can change quickly when enough people hold the intention.

Please join with me in holding the Intention For Peace Throughout the World!

You cannot find someone, even if they deserve it, as your enemy and stay Connected with who you are at the same time, because your Source will not take sides like that. No one can stay connected to Source Energy, and push hard against someone else. There are these battles that are fought in the name of “God”, and all of these prayers that say, “God is on our side,” and we say, god is not on your side, nor is god on the side of those who fight against you. God does not take those sides.
